We had read a lot about this place so decided to check it out. We went for lunch at around 1 pm (which by no standards is late) and found the food was not hot. When we told the staff they said it tends to get cold since its well past lunch time! When we ordered for hot naan instead of eating the cold ones, we could actually hear the manager saying 'aur kitne garam chahiye'. It was such a pathetic experience. The food quality had it been warm still woudn't have been that great. I would NEVER recommend this p

Akbar Restaurant is the best Indian food in columbia. Well except at Nik jayram's house but that not exactly a public resturant. Actually as far as I know Akbar Restaurant is the only Indian resturant in Columbia...but hey. Actually it is a very nice resturant and would be conducive to anything from a buisness meeting to a first date spot, or a place to take the whoile family. The food is very good and I would highly reccomend if your in the mood for Indian and can't get that pesky invite to Nik's house...head over to Akbar Restaurant.

A wonderful restaurant for a romantic night out, business meeting, or if you are dining alone. Their lunch buffet is low priced and outstanding. The wait staff are accommodating to your needs and are very polite. Eating here feels like eating a home cooked Indian meal with the trimmings. You could not ask for a more perfect dining experience!
